The Train to Dinner departs Connersville Station at 6 p.m. on the first and third Fridays running from July through October, and travels to the Laurel Hotel. The cost is $32 per adult, $17 for children (special child's menu) and includes the round trip train ride, the meal, tax and tip. Reservations Required. Wild West-themed Twilight Limited Train to Dinner excursion departing from Connersville Indiana's Grand Central Station at 6pm. Come and see Bandits, Marshals, Robber Barons, Fancy and some Not So Fancy Women as you roll through the scenic countryside. The Wild West entertainment is being provided by the Circle D Rangers. Fares are $39 per person (sorry no child fares available due limited capacity) and include the round trip train ride, the meal, tax and tip. Train operates rain or shine. Connersville’s Apple Dumpling Days Festival

Friday September 14 & Saturday September 15, 2018 in Downtown Connersville, Indiana.

 

During both days of the festival a Special Train will be operating from Downtown Connersville’s Grand Central Station to the railroads shops and display site for tours. Come out and ride as the price is only $5 per person ages 2 and up. You will get an opportunity to see where the railroads restores and maintains its historic equipment at the shops. The display site offers a chance to visit the fully restored Dearborn Switching Tower that once stood in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and the restored Rushville Passenger Depot from nearby Rushville, Indiana.

 

This Special Train will operate on Friday September 14 from 4pm to 8pm and on Saturday September 15 from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. The train departs from Connersville's Grand Central Station at 455 Market Street in Downtown Connersville, Indiana. The depot is located adjacent to the Courthouse and the Apple Dumpling Days Festival. The Railroad reserves the right to change train equipment, schedules and/or fares without advance notice. The railroad cannot be responsible for unscheduled delays. The Connersville Station is handicap accessible. Our trips are not currently handicap accessible. We hope to fix this in the future. Most times if someone is not restricted to a chair we can accommodate them on our cars. There are between 4 to six steps to climb to board the cars. The 1920's & 1930's passenger cars used on our excursions were constructed before disability accessibility laws were adopted. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate differently abled passengers who desire to ride one of our trips. Platforms, boarding areas, stairs, step-stools, seating, and especially doorways, passageways and aisles may not accommodate all passengers. Historic and antiquated rail passenger equipment, like that used on our excursions, is exempt from ADA regulations under U.S. Code: Title 42: Section 12184.
