WVRR Trains to Dinner
Welcome to our trains to dinner! Each offers a scenic round-trip through the beautiful Whitewater Valley to the small town of Laurel. Upon arrival in Laurel, our friendly crew will guide you on a brief 600 ft walk to the Laurel Fire Department, where you'll enjoy a delicious catered meal hosted by the fire department volunteers. Each train's menu, price, and theme may vary, so join us as often as you like and experience Hoosier Hospitality at its finest! If you require assistance with the walk to and from the fire department, please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Evening Star
Saturday, October 7, departing from Connersville's Grand Central Station at 6:30 pm As the sun sets over the Whitewater Valley, watch the stars light up the evening sky on the Evening Star Train to Dinner. Be sure to bring your appetite for the meal that C&T Catering from Glenwood, Indiana, will have ready for your enjoyment upon arriving in Laurel. The menu includes:
- Smoked Pork Chops
- Mesquite Grilled Chicken Breasts
- Creamy Baked Macaroni and Cheese
- Souder Farms Sweet Corn
- Fresh Garden Salad with Ranch or Italian Dressing
- Yeast Dinner Rolls
- hoice of Gooey Butter Cake or Pumpkin Gooey Cake
- Coffee, Tea, Lemonade & Bottled Water
The meal will be served buffet style on high-quality disposable dinnerware on tables covered with white tablecloths. Multiple trips through the buffet line are encouraged after everyone has had their first trip.
All seats are $55, including the train ride, meal, taxes, and fees. The Laurel Fire Department will receive a portion of the ticket price to support its operations. Additional donations will be graciously accepted.

Sunset Express
Saturday, July 8, departing from Connersville's Grand Central Station at 6:00 pm
Spend a delightful summer evening with us on the Sunset Express. Our friends from C&T Catering in Glenwood, Indiana, are the caterers and will be presenting the following menu for your dining pleasure:
- Grilled Garlic-Herb Chicken Breast
- Pulled Pork, Buns & BBQ Sauce on the side
- Signature Cheesy Potatoes
- Seasoned Green Beans
- Coleslaw
- Rolls with Butter
- Chocolate Eclairs

Murder Mystery
Saturday, September 9, departing from Connersville's Grand Central Station at 6:00 pm Murder and mayhem are on the menu for this exciting excursion! The Whitewater Valley Railroad and Imagine Performing Arts are proud to present the Murder Mystery Train to Dinner. During the scenic round-trip journey to Laurel, characters from the story will engage with passengers, answering questions that may reveal important clues. Be sure to take good notes; Detective Dan needs all the help he can get to solve this caper! Ollie's Family BBQ & Catering from Rushville, Indiana, will serve dinner during the layover in Laurel. Offered for your dining enjoyment will be:

- Mac and Cheese

- Cupcakes
- Coffee, Tea, Lemonade & Bottled Water

Once back at the station, the story will conclude, and the first passenger who correctly deduced the murderer and the motive will receive a small gift and hearty congratulations from Detective Dan. Autumn Arrow
Saturday, September 23, departing from Connersville's Grand Central Station at 6:00 pm Celebrate the first day of autumn with a scenic train ride and a delicious dinner on the Autumn Arrow Train to Dinner. Third Place Brookville from Brookville, Indiana, is the caterer and will be presenting the following for your dining pleasure:
- Wood Fired Pizza Buffet
- Sausage and Spinach Alfredo
- Salad Buffet
